2. Shloka 2.47 (Chapter 2, Verse 47)


कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।


मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

Karmaṇyev ādhikāraste mā phaleṣu kadācana

mā karmaphalaheturbhūrmā te saṅgo’stvakarmaṇi


Meaning: You have a responsibility to do your job, but you can't control the outcome. Don't think you're entirely responsible for the results of your actions. Also, don't get too attached to not doing something. Simply focus on doing your duty to the best of your ability, without worrying about success or failure. 3. Shloka 3.19 (Chapter 3, Verse 19)


तस्मादसक्तः सततं कार्यं कर्म समाचर।

असक्तो ह्याचरन् कर्म परं आप्नोति पूरुषः।।


tasmād asaktaḥ satataṁ kāryaṁ karma samāchara

asakto hyācharan karma param āpnoti pūruṣhaḥ

yad yad ācharati śhreṣhṭhas tat tad evetaro janaḥ

sa yat pramāṇaṁ kurute lokas tad anuvartate

5. Shloka 3.35 (Chapter 3, Verse 35)

श्रेयान् स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्।

स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः॥


śhreyān swa-dharmo viguṇaḥ para-dharmāt sv-anuṣhṭhitāt

swa-dharme nidhanaṁ śhreyaḥ para-dharmo bhayāvahaḥ


Meaning: It's always best to focus on your own responsibilities, even if you're not perfect at them. Trying to do someone else's job, no matter how well you do it, can be risky. 6. Shloka 18.46 (Chapter 18, Verse 46)


यतः प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानां येन सर्वमिदं ततम्।

स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च्य सिद्धिं विन्दति मानवः।।


yataḥ pravṛttirbhūtānāṃ yena sarvamidaṃ tatam

svakarmaṇā tamabhyarcya siddhiṃ vindati mānavaḥ


Meaning: To reach your full potential, focus on serving a higher power that is present in everything and everyone. By doing so, you'll find perfection in your work and daily life. 7. Shloka 12.8 (Chapter 12, Verse 8)


मय्येव मन आधत्स्व मयि बुद्धिं निवेशय।

निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं न संशयः।।


mayyeva mana ādhatsva mayi buddhiṃ niveśaya

nivasiṣyasi mayyeva ata ūrdhvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ


Meaning: Krishna says - focus your mind and thoughts on me, the ultimate reality, and use your intelligence to understand me. 8. Shloka 2.48 (Chapter 2, Verse 48)


योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय।

सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते।।


yogasthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṃ tyaktvā dhanañjaya

siddhyasiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṃ yoga ucyate


Meaning: Krishna advises Arjuna to commit to his spiritual practice. He urges Arjuna to focus on fulfilling his duties, without worrying about winning or losing. By doing so, Arjuna will achieve a balanced mindset, which is the true essence of yoga.


9. Shloka 18.65 (Chapter 18, Verse 65)


मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु ।

मामेवैष्यसि सत्यं ते प्रतिजाने प्रियोऽसि मे ॥


manmanā bhava madbhakto madyājī māṃ namaskuru

māmevaiṣyasi satyaṃ te pratijāne priyo’si me
