IND vs AUS 1st Test: India's star batter Rishabh Pant on Saturday became the third wicketkeeper in the world to complete 100 dismissals in the World Test Championship.
Pant completed Mitchell Starc’s catch off Harshit Rana's delivery in the 16th over. This catch brought an end to Australia's first innings, with the hosts managing a total of 104 runs. By completing this catch, Pant joined an exclusive group of accomplished wicketkeepers.
In 30 WTC matches for India, Pant has completed 83 catches and 17 stumpings. However, the overall record for most dismissals in the WTC is held by Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey.With 125 catches and 12 dismissals in 33 WTC games, Carey sits atop the leaderboard, closely followed by West Indies' Joshua Da Silva, who has 103 catches and 5 stumpings to his name.

Talking about Pant's crucial innings in India's dismal show on Day 1 against Australia at Perth, the star wicketkeeper-batter played a vital 37-run knock, featuring three fours and one six. With the help of Pant and Nitish Reddy's knocks India managed to post a total of 150 runs in the first inning.
