The nominations for the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) have been revealed, and leading the way among K-pop artists is BTS' Jeon Jungkook. He earned six nominations, including Top Global K-pop Artist and two nods for Top Global K-pop Song for his tracks Standing Next to You and 3D.
With six nominations, some even outside the K-pop category, it not only proves BTS' role in paving the way for K-pop artists but also highlights the impact of Jungkook as a solo singer and performer over the past year. Not just him, his bandmate Jimin has also secured a nomination for his track Who. Other K-pop stars receiving recognition include SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, ILLIT, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), among others.
In addition to these K-pop artists, several other major musicians including Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Drake, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, and Zach Bryan have received nominations. The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast on December 12, hosted by Michelle Buteau. Here's a look at the categories featuring K-pop artists.
